Digital Negatives and QTR
Many of the prints I make require a large digital negative to contact print onto a palladium or gum bichromate emulsion. To make these digital negatives I use a late model Epson printer and a printer driver called the QuadToneRIP (QTR). I prefer QTR because it gives you full control over the printer's inks, yet is quite affordable.
I have written a small book describing how to use QTR to make high quality negatives. It is available for sale from Lulu.com.
